Methuen High JROTC Cadets Depart Sunday for Devens Leadership Training
METHUEN — City Hall posted no new announcements on Flag Day, leaving the school calendar as the day's most concrete local signal: Methuen High School JROTC cadets are set to depart Sunday for a multi-day leadership course in Devens, and the district's final instructional days are now locked in.
SCHOOLS Methuen High School JROTC cadets are scheduled for the Junior Cadet Leadership Course (JCLC) at Devens, Mass., running Sunday, June 15, through Friday, June 19. That Friday is also Juneteenth, and all Methuen Public Schools buildings will be closed in observance of the holiday. The school year wraps up the following week: June 22 is an early-release day marking the 180th instructional day, and the School Committee convenes its end-of-year workshop that same evening from 6 to 9 p.m. in the MHS Media Center. June 23 is a second early-release day, the district's 185th instructional day.
