Lynn Library Launches "Plant a Seed, Read" Summer Reading Program for All Ages

The Lynn Public Library is welcoming summer 2026 with its new "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading program and a modified hours schedule in effect through July 2, giving residents a lighter but consistent slate of library services through the holiday stretch.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The library's summer reading program, "Plant a Seed, Read," is now underway for children, teens, and adults, with separate tracks available for each age group. Registration links are live on the library's website.

Summer hours run Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through July 2. The library is closed Saturdays and Sundays, and was closed June 19 for Juneteenth. It will also be closed July 3 ahead of Independence Day.

Teen patrons have a dedicated weekly drop-in option: Teen Tech Space runs Tuesdays from 3 to 5 p.m. at the library's 5 North Common St. location. The next session is tomorrow, Thursday, June 25.
