Peabody Opens Kindergarten Registration; City Seeks to Return $320K in Unclaimed Funds
Peabody is preparing to return $320,000 in unclaimed property to residents and businesses before a July 31 deadline, per Peabody Patch. The school district also launched kindergarten enrollment for 2026-2027 this week, giving families two reasons to check the district website before summer fully takes hold.

Peabody Public Schools has opened kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year. Families with children entering kindergarten next fall can find enrollment details and answers to common questions on the district's website at peabody.k12.ma.us.
The district is also inviting families of pre-K through grade 5 students to STEAM into Summer Family Night on June 17 at Higgins Middle School. The event is designed to send younger students into the break with hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts, and math activities.
