Saugus Library Launches Summer Reading, Pokémon Club, and Free Iron Works Concerts
SAUGUS — The Saugus Public Library's summer programming is in full swing heading into the final days of June, with children's events, a new reading challenge, and a free outdoor concert series at the Iron Works all on deck for residents this week.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The library is running parallel summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults this season. The kids' challenge carries a Pokémon theme — "Gotta Read 'Em All!" — while the adult program and a separate teen track are also actively enrolling. A Teen Advisory Board is forming for young people who want a voice in library programming; the group's first meeting is set for July 27.
On the concert front, the library has announced another summer of free outdoor shows at the historic Saugus Iron Works. The lineup for the 2026 season has been posted; residents can check the library's blog at sauguspubliclibrary.org for full details and dates.
Also at the library this week: Storytime with Gemma runs Wednesday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m., and the Tori Darnell group meets the same afternoon at 3 p.m. On Thursday, June 25, Mr. Vinny the Bubble Guy brings a children's show at 10 a.m., followed by Pokémon Club at 4 p.m.

Report cards go out to Saugus Middle High School Complex families on Wednesday, June 24, per the district calendar — a signal that the academic year is drawing to a close. The School Committee holds its next regular meeting Thursday, June 25.
